Dr. Jean Mandat recently joined UR Medicine Thompson Health’s Canandaigua Medical Group, where he is seeing patients in both Pediatrics and Internal Medicine.
With a bachelor’s in psychology and biomedical sciences from the University of Buffalo, Mandat became a doctor of osteopathy at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, NY, in 2015. He was then chief resident at Community Health of South Florida in Miami.
Mandat, who resides in Brighton, is board-certified in family medicine and first joined Thompson in December 2021, working at its Canandaigua Urgent Care. Just prior to joining Thompson, he was with the Geisinger Health System in Dansville, Pa.
An affiliate of F.F. Thompson Hospital, Canandaigua Medical Group is located at 335 Parrish St. in Canandaigua. There, Mandat is assuming care for patients previously seen by Dr. Carl Sahler and Dr. Marlys Howarth. Initially, he will be accepting new pediatric patients with the intent to open up to new adult patients later this year.
