The Syracuse Crunch fell to the Laval Rocket, 3-2, in Game 2 of the best-of-five North Division Series on Saturday night at the Upstate Medical University Arena.
The series is now tied at one game apiece.
Brandon Gignac scored with 1:47 left in regulation to give Laval their first-ever Calder Cup Playoff win.
Simon Ryfors and Daniel Walcott scored for the Crunch, while Max Lagace turned aside 25-of-28 shots.
Jesse Ylonen notched a goal and an assist for Laval and Cayden Primeau stopped 37-of-39 shots.
Game 3 is slated for Thursday. The puck will drop at 7 p.m.
