Rob Zastryzny surrendered three runs in relief while Yoan López allowed an unearned run and Justin Dillon threw a scoreless inning.
Syracuse scored both of their runs in the seventh inning. Daniel Palka and Nick Meyer smacked back-to-back home runs.
The Mets will try to snap their two-game skid on Saturday night. The first pitch is slated for 6:35 p.m.
