Going into the 2022 NFL Draft, cornerback depth was the one thing the Buffalo Bills were lacking.
So, the team traded picks No. 25 and 130 to the Baltimore Ravens for pick No. 23 and selected cornerback Kaiir Elam from Florida.
Elam had 78 total tackles, six interceptions, and 26 pass breakups over three seasons with the Gators. He missed a good chunk of his junior season with a knee injury.
With Levi Wallace signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers earlier this offseason, the 6-foot-1, 191-pound corner is expected to come right in and compete for the second cornerback spot. He will compete with Dane Jackson, who filled in for Tre’Davious White last season. White suffered a season-ending ACL injury in November and is sill recovering. It is still unknown if he will be ready for training camp.

With that coaching hes going to thrive. Has flaws that are correctable. Look forward to see how this works out. https://t.co/zw8WleBZ0J
