Construction is underway on two flood resiliency projects in in the village of Fair Haven.
The new projects include $1 million towards upgrades to the King Street boat launch on the west side of Little Sodus Bay and $250,000 to repair the boat ramp, retaining walls, and add a guardrail atop the walls at Cottage Street Public Park, according to The Citizen. Both projects are funded through New York’s Resiliency and Economic Development Initiative.

Fair Haven Mayor Jim Basile, who is also a Cayuga County legislator, said that completing the projects will allow the village to keep the boat launches accessible and open to the public.
