Police: Investigation active after group of teens attack person at Ithaca Commons

Police in Ithaca say they’re investigating after an incident at the Commons around 3 p.m.

Around that time on Monday IPD received a report that a fight in progress was happening, involving around 10-12 teens.

According to the report, the group of teens were attempting to steal property from- and fight with- another male subject.


Police located the victim, and confirmed that property was stolen. He was knocked to the ground by the group of teens- and punched several times.

The group of teens then fled before police arrival. He sustained minor injuries.

Police say the investigation remains active at this time.
