For the second game in a row, the Buffalo Sabres were unable to hold onto a lead and fell to the Florida Panthers, 4-3, on Friday night at FLA Live Arena.
Buffalo led 1-0 and then 3-1, but allowed Florida to score three straight goals to secure the victory.
The Sabres scored all three of their goals in the first period. Victor Olofsson, Mark Pysyk and Jeff Skinner tallied in the loss while Dustin Tokarski stopped 39-of-43 shots.
Claude Giroux, Patric Hornqvist, Sam Reinhart and Sam Bennett found the back of the net for Florida while Sergei Bobrovsky turned aside 19-of-22 shots.
Buffalo finished 1-for-4 on the power play and 0-for-2 on the penalty kill.
The Sabres will continue their four-game road trip on Sunday in Tampa Bay when they face the Lightning at 5 p.m.
