Ithaca’s Visum Development Group has renewed work on plans for a residential development on Cherry Street in Ithaca.
Last month, Visum filed a revised Site Plan Review (SPR) application for a proposed 132 Cherry Street development called “The Hive,” according to Ithaca Voice. The City of Ithaca is expected to begin its municipal review process in the coming weeks.
The new plan for “The Hive” is larger than the original 2020 submission. The proposed development is no longer one building, but two instead: one with 60 apartment units and the other with 83 units.
The $23.6 million project would begin phase one of construction in September 2022 with the first building completed by late summer 2023. The second building would be completed in winter or early spring 2024.
