The New York Yankees made another trade for a reliever on Monday.
The team acquired right-handed reliever David McKay from the Tampa Bay Rays in exchange for cash considerations.
Tampa Bay signed McKay to a minor-league contract in March. The 27-year-old owns a 6.08 ERA across 26 major-league games, split between the Seattle Mariners and Detroit Tigers.
McKay missed the entire 2021 season after undergoing hip surgery.
According to Joel Sherman of the New York Post, he will be added to the 40-man roster.
