Oregon has made it so food stamp recipients in the state will see emergency SNAP benefits in April and May.
The total amount to do this is $65 million dollars.
The least that people will see is $95 in addition to their regular benefits.
The EBT card used in the state is called the Oregon Trail Card, and recipients can expect the benefits to be added to their card.
When will I get my April SNAP benefits?
When will Oregon residents see the emergency food stamps?
The emergency benefits will be deposited on April 12, 29, or May 3.
The emergency benefits have been going out since March of 2020.
For each month benefits are given, they must be approved on a monthly basis.
Nebraska and Tennessee have phased out emergency benefits, and other states are expected to follow suit.
States may keep giving emergency benefits if their state is under some sort of emergency or disaster declaration.
Other states have seen their benefits cut entirely, like Iowa.
