Syracuse women’s basketball adds two freshmen from Buffalo

The Syracuse Orange women’s basketball team added to its 2022 roster on Friday.

University of Buffalo freshmen Saniaa Wilson and Georgia Woolley will reunite with their former coach Felisha Legette-Jack and transfer to Syracuse.

Wilson, a forward, appeared in 14 games for Buffalo this past season. Wilson averaged 3.6 points and 4.4 rebounds per game while making 55.9% of her shots from the floor.

Woolley, a guard, was named the Mid-American Conference’s Freshman of the Year last season after she averaged 14.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 2.1 steals per game.

Wilson and Woolley become the first two players to commit to the Legette-Jack era of Syracuse women’s basketball.
