Sodus woman arrested on bench warrant for identity theft

Police say a Sodus woman was arrested on a bench warrant.

According to a news release, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested Kayla D. Harris, 32, of Sodus for identity theft.

The charges stem from an investigation completed by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office Welfare Fraud Unit in November 2018. Harris was charged with identity theft, petit larceny, and criminal use of a public benefit card.

Harris was taken into custody and will answer charges in the Town of Lyons Court at a later date.
