Police say a Thurston man was arrested following a violation of an order of protection.
According to a news release, the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office arrested Garrett S. Ragusa, 27, of Thurston for aggravated family offense, unlawful imprisonment, criminal contempt, and criminal possession of a controlled substance.
It is alleged that Ragusa forcibly detained another person who was being protected by an order of protection. Additionally, he possessed quantity of suspected methamphetamine. When police arrived on scene, Ragusa attempted to run when advised of his arrest.
Ragusa was taken into custody and is pending arraignment.
