Geneva Boys & Girls Club to host food distribution event in Canandaigua

The Boys & Girls Club of Geneva and FoodLink of Rochester will host a free food distribution event at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 29 in Canandaigua.

The event will be held at the Greater Canandaigua Civic Center located at 250 N Bloomfield Rd. FoodLink will supply palettes of healthy food like meat, dairy, fruits, and vegetables, according to Finger Lakes Times. Volunteers will load food into cars, and attendees are encouraged to pick up food for friends and family as well.

The Geneva Boys & Girls Club will host similar events on the first and third Thursdays of the month at Geneva Community Center. The upcoming Geneva events are on April 7 and April 21.

People can volunteer for Tuesday’s event in Canandaigua by emailing Susan Tolleson at [email protected]. Agencies or food pantries looking to pick up food for their clients can call Tolleson at 9315) 759-6060 for special pickup instructions.
