Auburn Mayor Quill describes state of city as “stable” in address to City Council

In his State of the City address to the Auburn City Council Thursday night, Mayor Mike Quill described the state of the city as “stable.”

City Manager Jeff Dygert said the city decided not to make staffing or other budget cuts in the wake of the pandemic, and was able to help residents get the information they needed.

In a slide show, Dygert pointed to accomplishments such as the return of live community events, the partnership between the city, Cayuga Community College and the Auburn Doubledays to renovate and improve Falcon Park, the revaluation of city properties, the launch of a new city ambulance service, tree replacement and other neighborhood improvements, the reconstruction of South St. and park improvements, including work on the Casey Park rink and the upcoming construction of a new skate park.
