State police: Couple stole over $1M from dental office in Syracuse area

State police say a Brewerton couple has been arrested after being accused of stealing over $1 million from a Baldwinsville dental practice.

On March 17 state police in Elbridge arrested Kimber Cummings, 47, and Wayne Cummings, 51, both of Brewerton for grand larceny and money laundering- both felony counts.

Additionally, Kimber was charged with attempted grand larceny- another felony count.

The two are accused of stealing approximately $1,136,370.00 from a dental office located in the Village of Baldwinsville. Some of those proceeds, approximately $435,804.17 were laundered from their bank accounts through two Limited Liability Corporations, which were formed by Kimber after she was terminated from the office.

She’s also accused of attempting to pay herself $120,908 after being terminated.

Both were transported to the Onondaga County Justice Center for arraignment.
