The Buffalo Bills have given wide receiver Cole Beasley permission to seek a trade, according to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.
Beasley, 33, is entering the final year of his contract and is owed $6.1 million for the upcoming season.
If the Bills can find a trade partner, it would create cap space for the team to make other moves.
General manager Brandon Beane confirmed the news to Garafolo on Thursday.
“They approached us. We listened and have allowed them to seek a trade partner,” Beane told Garafolo, adding that “no door is closed” for Beasley to return to Buffalo.
Beasley’s agent Justin Turner declined comment on the situation.
