Pioneer Library System launches popular books by mail service

Even though COVID-19 numbers are beginning to decline in the Finger Lakes, some people are still reluctant to be around crowds.

That led the Pioneer Library System, also known as OWWL for the counties it serves, Ontario, Wayne, Wyoming and Livingston to offer a books by mail service. Patrons request up to six books from libraries in the system and they’re delivered free through the mail. When they’re done reading their books, patrons put them in the postage paid bags and return them. Suzanne Macaulay with the Pioneer Library System says they weren’t sure how it would work out, but she says patrons love it.
