Bristol Town Supervisor Bob Green is pondering a run for Ontario County Sheriff.
He’s the latest name to come up in what’s already morphed into a crowded race to be the next sheriff, after a tumultuous three year run for the department.
“It’s an issue of, is there support out there, is there not,” Green told The Daily Messenger. “Let’s take a look at this, but approach it in a logical, non-emotional manner.”
Sheriff Lt. David Cirencione, who is a 20-year veteran of the department, and Silvio Palermo, a retired Gates police officer, have already joined the race, assuring a Republican Primary.
Democrats say they will put a candidate forward, but is still working through the final stages of the interview process.
