Auburn Community Hospital has been removed from the state’s list of facilities unable to perform elective surgeries due to staffing shortages.
The hospital was given the green light to resume procedures on Wednesday.
In November, Governor Kathy Hochul issued an executive order allowing the Department of Health to limit non-essential surgeries.
The decision came due to short staffing in hospitals and COVID cases.
