You could claim these stimulus payments if eligible, and see up to $1,800

There are various direct payments that can be claimed this week, some worth up to $1,800.

This cash will come in handy in time for the holiday season.

There are almost a dozen states currently sending out their own stimulus checks, modeling the payments after the federal stimulus checks Americans saw this year.

Here are some ways to claim stimulus cash right now if you qualify

California is still sending Golden State Stimulus checks out to qualifying residents.

These checks are worth $1,100 and part of the Golden State Stimulus II program.

794,000 checks are being sent between down and the end of the year.

9,000 direct deposits were included in this batch.

The current batch is going out to zip codes ending in 720-927.

Maryland is giving eligible residents payments worth $300 or $500 under their RELIEF Act.

422,531 Maryland residents were sent checks, but only 98% of people got them.

The checks were sent to families that filed for the Earned Income Tax Credit.

7,811 checks still need to be returned to their owners, and anyone who thinks they may be missing one can call 1-800-MD-TAXES (1-800-638-2937).

Finally, St. Louis has opened applications for a $500 stimulus payment to qualifying families.

In order to be eligible, you need to have been a resident of St. Louis for one year and earn 80% or below the area median income.

You need to show that you were negatively impacted financially. This includes losing your job, having working hours cut, paying for a funeral, or paying for treatment of COVID.

You can apply online through the city’s website.

It’s estimated that 9,300 residents will qualify.
