The Ithaca Police Department is investigating a stabbing that happened at the Jungle in the city.
Police say a 35-year-old victim was located on the ground bleeding from a large cut across the back of his head when officers arrived on-scene around 3:45 p.m. on Saturday.
The victim was treated on-scene, then transported to a regional trauma center. At this time, police say the victim is listed in stable condition.
The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival and was not located. The two were known to each other, police said.
The case remains open and under investigation at this time.
