Police arrested a Canandaigua resident following a disturbance on North Main Street.
According to a news release, Douglas Aucter, 61, was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing, unlawful imprisonment, and endangering the welfare of a child.
The charges stem from an incident where he obstructed the breathing of a person while in the presence of a minor. He also prevented them from leaving the scene of the incident.
The charges will be answered at a later date.
