20,000 Americans can expect a $300 direct stimulus payments this weekend.
These payments will go to low income families in Santa Ana California.
The eligible families will be getting the money in the form of a prepaid Visa debit card.

Officials will be giving the cards out by hand delivery door to door this weekend.
In order to be eligible, you must be in a rental unit and at a poverty rate above the median of 42%.
It is asked that when spending the money, you do so local, but it is not required.

What other stimulus payments are happening in California?
In addition to the program in Santa Ana, California has been sending out checks for their Golden State Stimulus II program.
These checks are worth up to $1,100 and go out to residents making under $75,000 when filing single.
The last batch went out to zip codes ending in 585-719.

That area can expect checks to come until Dec. 17.
The last two batches are for zip codes that end in 720-927 from Dec. 13 to Dec. 31, and 928-999 from Dec. 27 to Jan. 11.
At the end, over 9 million Californians will have received a check.
