Syracuse man arrested three times in six hours crashes stolen car into Auburn KFC

A 32-year-old Syracuse man was arrested three times in a span of just six hours across Cayuga and Onondaga counties.

The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office has charged Rashawn Wilborn, 32, with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle after stealing a vehicle from Tractor Supply in Auburn around 5:30 a.m. on Monday.

He then crashed it into the Kentucky Fried Check in the city. The Auburn Fire Department responded to control a gas leak that was caused by the collision.

Wilborn was arrested on a half-dozen charges and faces additional criminal charges after being found in back of the Grant Motel.

Police say two hours earlier, Wilborn committed a burglary at that location. He was found with the stolen items in his possession.

State police had arrested Wilborn late-Sunday on harassment, criminal mischief, and trespassing charges after an incident in Elbridge.

He was held at the Cayuga County Jail.
