The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of an Interlaken man following a traffic stop for driving while intoxicated and speeding.
Joseph Bowers, 23, was observed traveling at a high rate of speed on State Route 414 outside the village of Ovid. A traffic stop was initiated, and deputies say Bowers appeared to be intoxicated.
He failed field sobriety tests and eventually was found to have a BAC of 0.22%.
Bowers was charged with DWI, aggravated DWI, and speeding. Appearance tickets were issued and will be answered at a later date.
