Following trials, Moderna has announced the vaccine shows a strong immune response in children under the age of 12.
This is based on phase 2 of a three phase trial with 4,750 children. The results also show that the immune response is even stronger in children than it is in adults.
Symptoms included fatigue, headache, fever, and injection pain.
The results will be submitted for peer review as the FDA starts their discussion on EUA for children to get lower doses of the Pfizer vaccine.
