The race for Mayor of Buffalo has been interesting, and Democratic nominee India Walton has won the primary vote.
The issue? None of the top Democrats seem to be endorsing her.
Governor Kathy Hochul has refused to be involved with the race at all as the election looms ahead.
Hochul called it a unique situation and said she looks forward to working with whoever wins the race.
Byron Brown has written himself in after losing the primary vote and will be running against Walton for Mayor.
In 2017 Hochul and former Governor Andrew Cuomo endorsed Brown in his race for Mayor.
Senators Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand also endorsed him in 2017, and neither have endorsed anyone this time around.
