An Ontario County man was among those who recently won the #VaxAndWin football sweepstakes.
Winners receive game tickets, special in-game experiences, stadium tours, signed gear, FaceTime calls with alumni players, and more from the Buffalo Bills, New York Giants, and New York Jets.
It’s part of the state’s effort to encourage unvaccinated individuals to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
New York State is administering the random drawings and new winners are selected each week over five weeks total. Two drawings remain after this week. All New Yorkers who receive their first COVID-19 vaccine dose September 9, 2021 to October 24, 2021 are eligible.
“Our #VaxandWin Football Sweepstakes celebrates New Yorkers who step up to get vaccinated,” Governor Hochul said. “In partnership with all of New York’s professional football teams, our new vaccine encouragement videos will reach New Yorkers of all ages in new ways – utilizing messengers New Yorkers look up to and trust. I congratulate our third-round winners, and I thank New York’s football teams for lending their platforms and voices to this critical effort and joining the State in encouraging all eligible New Yorkers to get vaccinated.”
