Scams have really increased since the start of the pandemic, especially with how reliant people have become on technology.
The newest one comes from scammers claiming to be a hired assassin.
People are getting texts from unknown numbers saying they were hired to kill whoever they’re texting but are willing to not go through with it for a fee.
The scammers use things like the recipients home address that they likely find online to convince the recipient.
Anyone who receives this type of message is urged to not panic, not respond, not provide personal information, and not click any links.
