Sheriff Ron Spike says a Dundee man who was walking on the train tracks with a hearing impairment died after being struck by a train.
It happened on Wednesday, and the individual who died was identified as 62-year-old Raymond Arthurs.
He was walking on the tracks near Shannon Corners Road, according to Spike, who said that the engineer blew the train’s horn multiple times. The engineer also attempted to stop the train before striking the man, but was unsuccessful.
Arthurs was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Spike.
