A man was arrested for various charges related to an attempted robbery at a Big M grocery store in Alexandria.
State Police in Alexandria Bay and Watertown responded to the report of an attempted robbery on Oct. 6 at 5:49 p.m.
Christopher Brundage, 39, of Alexandria Bay, displayed a knife and tried to steal a purse from a 68-year-old female customer.
He fled the scene without the purse.
He’s been charged with one count of attempted robbery in the first degree, and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree.
He is being held in Jefferson County Jail without bail.
