Ithaca police responded to a robbery Friday night just before 7 p.m.
Police responded to the 700 Block of West State Street and spoke with a victim who claimed to have been punched in the face before his cell phone was stolen.
The victim was brought to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with any information or who witnessed the attack is asked to call the Ithaca Police Department.
