Rochester woman found with a loaded handgun by TSA at Frederick Douglass-Greater Rochester International Airport

TSA located a loaded handgun in a Rochester woman’s bag at the airport, and she’s now facing federal fines.

The gun was located in the woman’s carry on bag, loaded with 6 bullets, in the Frederick Douglass-Greater Rochester International Airport over the weekend.

The woman informed TSA the gun was in her bag for work and she forgot about it.

Bart Johnson, TSA Federal Security Director for Upstate New York said that if someone has a loaded gun they should know where it is at all times, forgetting is no excuse.

The gun was taken and the woman is now facing federal fines.
