Wayne County is letting the public know that there have been a rise in positive COVID-19 cases among kids in school.
Wayne County Public Health said in a statement that the evidence seems to align with data that shows the Delta Variant can be spread to children.
The health department reminds families that in-person learning is important, and that in order to maintain the health and safety of students, it’s important to keep kids home when they don’t feel well and to quarantine them if they show symptoms. It’s also important for kids that are eligible to get the vaccine.
