Governor Kathy Hochul created mobile vaccine clinics as part of her “Vax to School” campaign

Governor Kathy Hochul has launched her “Vax to School” plan and announced the details during a press conference in Brooklyn on Tuesday.

During the next 12 weeks there will be 120 pop-up vaccine clinics.

There will also be mobile clinics in vans that plan to go to places like parks or basketball courts.

The areas these clinics will appear in will be areas with low vaccine rates.

Hochul wants to broaden access to vaccines for children old enough to get them due to the Delta Variant targeting kids.

Of the 1,222 newly reported Monroe County cases, around 30% are under 19.

In Wayne County on Tuesday there were 33 newly reported cases and 51% of them were children.
