New York residents enrolled in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program will be getting maximum benefits this month.
The state plans to receive $200 million for families on food stamps.
The benefits for residents outside New York City will begin this week and continue through Sept. 24.
New York City residents began receiving them Sept. 16 and will until the end of the month.
If a person or family is already receiving maximum benefits they will get an additional $95.
Funds are loaded directly into recipients EBT accounts for them to use with their cards.
