Dirt bike accident sends man to Upstate Medical Center

On Sept. 11 around 9 p.m. Seneca County Sheriff’s responded to an address in the Town of Fayette following the report of an accident involving a dirt bike.

After investigating it was discovered that Cole Short, 18, of Fayette, was riding on the property when he struck a piece of farm equipment.

Short suffered a severe injury to his left leg, and was treated on scene by members of North Seneca Ambulance.




Due the severity of the injury, Life Net Emergency services were requested and flew Short to Upstate Medical Center.

The Fayette Fire Department assisted.
