Fayette bans retail sale, on-site use of marijuana

The Fayette Town Board has heard residents comments and decided to approve a law that bans the retail sale of marijuana in Fayette.

The vote was done Sept. 9 and approved by a 2-1 vote.

The law asks that the New York State Cannabis Control Board issues an exemption for both retail sales and onsite consumption licenses. This would apply to the entire Town of Fayette except where a part of the town is in the Village of Waterloo.
