Farmington urgent care shutting down due to significant staffing issues

Farmington Urgent Care is shutting down. The temporary closure of the UR Medicine Thompson Health location is due to significant staffing challenges.

The urgent care center will close Sunday, September 19, and will only operate as an outpatient clinic for high-risk patients being treated for COVID-19.

UR Medicine Thompson Health says it’s happening to consolidate and deploy staff where needed across its entire system.

They are encouraging the community to use urgent care locations in Canandaigua and Newark.
