In 2019 Hornell received $10 million dollars through the Downtown Revitalization Initiative.
After the pandemic, politics, and everything else happening, Hornell can finally go ahead with revamping their downtown.
19 projects were awarded funding from the grant and will focus on fixing and redeveloping buildings, improving streets, and supporting businesses.

A park is also planned in front of Community Bank, one of the biggest projects.
