After two years, Hornell can finally move ahead with their DRI planning

In 2019 Hornell received $10 million dollars through the Downtown Revitalization Initiative.

After the pandemic, politics, and everything else happening, Hornell can finally go ahead with revamping their downtown.

19 projects were awarded funding from the grant and will focus on fixing and redeveloping buildings, improving streets, and supporting businesses.

A timeline has not been released but plans are in the making.

Some projects have changed because they either went ahead and did them without DRI funding, or the cost of supplies has changed in the last two years.

A park is also planned in front of Community Bank, one of the biggest projects.
