The Canisteo Valley community is hosting a fundraiser to help one of their own.
Scott Mozzar, a Hornell native, has worked at TTA for over twenty years and was recently diagnosed with oral cancer.
He had surgery in April and has been unable to work, so the fundraiser is an effort to help the family handle medical costs.
The Dark Horse Saloon in Dansville will host an event this Saturday beginning with a poker run.
Registration for the motorcycle ride begins at 10 a.m. with the departure at 11 a.m. and it’s $20 per bike.
Following the poker run, a “take out or hang out” pig roast will be happening at 4 p.m. with pulled pork dinners, raffles, games and prizes.
There will be live music, free camping, and event tickets are $10.
Mozzar currently lives in Florida but has strong ties to his hometown.
