A school board seat is open on the Waterloo School Board and the deadline to apply is Sept. 13.
Applicants will be interviewed by the other board members and a person will be selected before they are sworn in and seated Oct. 18.
Melissa Nicolini resigned, opening up a chair.
To apply, send a letter of interest to District Clerk Jamie Excell by mail to 109 Washington St., Waterloo, NY 13165.
Interested applicants are required to have lived in the district for at least one year, be 18, and be a United States citizen.
The position goes until June 30, 2022 and the person could run for a permanent position in May of 2022.
The terms are three years.
