Herons, Statesmen welcome back spectators

Hobart and William Smith Colleges Associate Vice President and Director of Athletics and Recreation Deb Steward announced that spectators are welcome back to Heron and Statesmen sporting events this fall.

Fans entering any indoor space, regardless of vaccination status, are required to wear a properly fitting mask that covers the mouth and nose.

Masks are not required outdoors, however, unvaccinated fans are strongly encouraged to wear masks in crowded outdoor settings.

Administrators are monitoring the guidance provided by local, state and national health authorities and will adjust spectator policies as warranted.

Fans planning to travel to see Hobart or William Smith away games should check the opponent’s website before departing to determine if spectators are allowed and if so what policies apply.

The Liberty League has compiled a webpage displaying spectator policies for each member school.
