Police responded to a crash involving a horse and buggy in the Town of Gorham on Aug. 25 around 3:20 p.m. on Route 245.
Annetta, 53, and Roseanna Fox, 18, were traveling southwest on Route 245 when they were struck from behind by a pick up truck. The truck fled the scene.
Annetta suffered injuries to her lower body and Roseanna suffered injuries to her head and back.
Annetta was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital by Canandaigua Ambulance and Roseanna was transported by Mercy Flight.
The pickup truck is described to be a dark green Chevy with a translucent white water tank in the bed.
The horse ran off and was captured in the area. It needed to be euthanized.
Route 245 between Baldwin Road and Main Street in Rushville were closed for about an hour and a half.
The investigation into the crash continues.
