A Fayette man was taken into custody after a theft investigation that happened over a two month period.
Derek Baker, 36, of Fayette was charged with two felony counts of grand larceny, according to the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office.
He’s accused of stealing more than $7,000 from a bank account, which belonged to another Fayette resident. The theft took place over a two-month period. He then stole almost $6,800 in jewelry from the same victim and used their EZPass to charge over $200 in tolls.
Baker was issued appearance tickets and will answer the charges at a later date.
