Police: Hammondsport woman faces felony charges after drug arrest

Police say a Hammondsport woman was arrested after a superior court warrant after being indicted on drug charges.

Chasity Schorpp, 34, was charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a controlled substance after selling methamphetamine to a Penn Yan police officer.

The sale took place in the village last year, according to police, who announced the arrest on Tuesday. She was arrested on two counts of both charges, which are felonies.

Schorpp was released after arraignment.
