The Schuyler County District Attorney’s Office is asking for the public’s help as they continue an investigation that has spanned a year.
Last year Richard Seeley was found deceased in his home in the town of Orange. It happened on August 20, 2020- and nearly a year later- the death labeled suspicious remains stuck.
He was found with a puncture wound to his chest and lungs, according to investigators, who say that they are hopeful that someone from the public can provide information that advances their efforts.

New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation, Forensic Identification Unit, Major Crimes Unit and the Schuyler County District Attorney’s Office have assisted the Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office during the investigation.
