The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge 1722 in Penn Yan has donated 21 Kindle Fires to the Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Recovery Center, part of the Canandaigua VA medical center.
The goal of PRRC is to help reintegrate veterans with mental illnesses back into the community. The pandemic made that hard, especially for veterans not familiar with technology.
The Kindles will be given to veterans who have completed a training that shows them how to set up the tablet, create an email account, online etiquette, setting up an electronic calendar, VA Video Connect, Web Ex, and other things.
