The CDC announces that a new analysis shows there is no increase for miscarriage among pregnant women who get the Covid-19 vaccine.
Until now the CDC did not recommend pregnant women get vaccinated but should discuss it with their doctor.
Right now only 23% of pregnant women have received at least one dose of the vaccine.
All three brands have been determined to be safe for pregnant women.
Sascha Ellington, team lead for the Emergency Preparedness and Response team in CDC’s Division of Reproductive Health said there is no evidence to back up claims that the vaccine will cause fertility issues.
Pregnant women are at an increased risk for severe illness and preterm birth who contract the virus.
